Located between Battle Creek and Kalamazoo, Fort Custer Recreation Area provides facilities for boating, biking, hiking, swimming and other activities. Inside the park is one of the few remaining oak barrens—widely spaced oak trees in a field of grass and wildflowers—found in Michigan.
